Charcoal

A few weekends ago, on a beautiful (but windy) day in Worcester, Jill and I decided to go for a coffee date. I figured this would be a great time to break out my favorite No Rest for Bridget tie waist dress. I paired it with my go to J.Crew Pixie Pant and a simple nude heel by Franco Sarto. My favorite Juicy Couture bag with gold chain accents went perfectly! My usual arm candy with a pair of oversized studs finished off the look.

Skin Skin Skin

I have an obsession with skin care products and always love trying new things! This christmas one of my gifts was a kit from Sephora filled with goodies from Ole Henriksen. Shown at the top is my favorite a three step power peel with almond, lemon, and chamomile that works very well as a glycolic peel. I usually use this after a break out because it really takes away any impurities or dark marks. Also after a long day sometimes I feel I get either dark or baggy circles under my eyes, and I have tried several products and so far Ole Henriksen's truth serum eye cream and collagen booster are my favorite so far. Be sure to check out the web site!

I have severe Spring fever, and cant wait to put away all the boots and
break out all the heels. Although I might not be a pro walking in heels, I love
wearing a cute pair during   the warm weather, and these rolled up pants whether
jeans or these green skinny fit pants, pair perfectly with any heel. This white loose
fitting blouse is paired with a statement necklace that brings pop to the outfit with
        some fun vibrant colors.

Open Knit

Sperry Boat Shoes [Similar], Gap Camo Jacket [Similar], J.Crew Crystal Sunburst NecklaceJ.Crew Brompton Mini-Hobo
This past Thursday I arrived home from a wonderful Spring Break in West Palm Beach and was taken out for a delicious family dinner. My parents, sister and I went to Wright's Chicken Farm for all you can eat salad, pasta, french fries and chicken. Doesn't get much better than that! Being the first day of spring and all, I decided to lose the winter boots and choose a pair of metallic Sperry's. I paired them with a simple pair of black leggings, and a black, open knit sweater that I purchased at a boutique called Lizology in Newburyport, MA. My Gap camo jacket is my go-to for spring time and I'm really loving my J.Crew statement necklace!

Statement Necklace [Charlotte Russe] Bracelet [ Forever 21] Top [Nordstrom Rack]  Jean skirt and Nude Heels [Forever 21

This past Saturday we finally had some nice weather, and since I can't wait any longer for sunshine and the spring ( apologize on my pale legs) I felt it be necessary I broke out some of my spring clothes that had been buried in my closet this winter. This jean skirt pairs perfectly with almost any top, but gotta love me some leopard. A statement necklace always can add to an outfit and make it unique and is my personal favorite accessory.

Backless

On nights where you want to kick it up a notch backless is the way to go. I bought this cranberry open back sweater at Nordstrom Rack. Going out in the winter in New England can be a drag, especially when deciding how to look cute but stay warm. With this sweater functionality is key with a little surprise. I paired the sweater with a pair of leather paneled leggings also from Nordstrom Rack, and a pair of Sam Edelman suede black booties. My usual arm candy, and a silver necklace add just the right amount of jewels.

St. Tropez

Hopefully sooner rather than later Mother Nature will give us a break and bring in the warm weather. Until then, New England is still snow covered with little sun in sight. Spring break is upon us here at UMass, and while I am lucky enough to be jetting off to West Palm Beach at the end of the weekend, not all students are as fortunate. What's a girl to do when she is casper pale and all of her friends will be coming back to school bronzed and beautiful?
St. Tropez.
Not the exotic island, but the wonderful self tanner. Some of you may automatically think, I'm not trying to be an oompa loompa. I can promise that is not the case with this product. St Tropez tanning mousse is the best self tanner I have used to date. One of the main reasons why it gives such a dark, rich, truly tan color is because of the products formula. Most self tanners have a warm, either orange or yellow undertone to them. Thus resulting in an "orange" finish. St Tropez has a very deep, cool green undertone to it. Resulting in a bronzed application. (Which is what we want, right?)
St Tropez has an entire line of self tanners available at Sephora, and at StTropezTan.com. I personally have only ever used the tanning mousse. I purchase it at Sephora, and it comes in either a 4 or 8 ounce pump bottle.
The number one key to using this product and getting a seamless, even tan is St Tropez's tanning mitt. Instead of applying the mousse with the palm of your hand, you slip on the mitt, pump the product onto the mitt and buff away. The mitt gives an almost airbrushed effect.
Next time you stop into your local Sephora, venture to the back of the store and take a look at the St Tropez line, I promise it will not disappoint!

Lavender Run

Sneakers Nike Free Run 5.0 [Nike] White Running Tee [Nike] Capri yoga pants in purple [TJ Maxx

A lot of the time its more work to actually get yourself to the gym than what you do there. But...Working out does not always have to be a drag. These purple yoga pants are a perfect way to spice up any workout. Whether hiking, or just going for a spring run colored and patterned gym pants are in this spring, and are an easy way to add fun into a dreary gym wardrobe. I love sneakers especially Nike Free Runs, these are the 5.0 in grey and white, and are my favorites yet.

Camo Cool

J.Crew Pixie Pants J.Crew Chambray Shirt , Gap Camo Jacket [similar ], Sam Edelman Boots [similar]

As soon as there is a sunny day here in Amherst I love to try and get some fresh air in anyway possible. Any chance I get to not have to wear a large bulky winter jacket, I take it.On top I wore a J.Crew chambray button down with my favorite fall/spring camo jacket from The Gap. Here I decided to pair my black J.Crew Pixie pants with a simple pair of black Sam Edelman combat boots that I got for a steal at TJMaxx. If there is one staple that I believe every girl should invest in for their closet is the J.Crew Pixie pant. I have two pairs, in black and navy. They are stretchy like a legging but have more structure with a thick waistband and zipper up the back. They are my daily go to!

Go Blonder

Natural platinum blondes are hard to come by. More often than not blondes (including myself) spent a large amount of time and money keeping up our golden locks. Unfortunately, being a broke college girl, a $90 half foil isn't in my budget for every 5th week. That's when the roots start to show and the skunk-look emerges. Thankfully the next weeks don't have to be full of headbands and baseball hats thanks to one of my life saving products, Go Blonder by John Frieda.

This is a controlled lightening spray that permanently lightens blonde hair. It comes in a 3.5 ounce yellow, spray bottle, and is about 8 dollars at your local Target. This product does contain hydrogen peroxide, which is activated by heat. So, to use this product, I get out of the shower, spray about 6-7 sprays throughout my roots and comb it through. I then blow dry my hair and for optimal lightening use either a straightener or curling iron on it afterwards. After about 3-4 uses you will notice a difference and brightness in your hair color.

Now I do not recommend using this product every day, or on the most highlighted parts of your hair. This can cause excess damage and dryness that us blondes DO NOT need. I swear by this product, and it really blends my roots in nicely. This is what gets my through my long waits until my hairdresser can work his magic.

Try it out and let me know what you think! I'd love to hear everyones reviews!

Eco

Blouse [H&M] Jeans [American Eagle] Boots [Express]
I have a thing for patterns, so during my day trip to UMass I wanted to rock something casual, but give it a slight twist with this H&M maroon and black patterned sheer top. This top would go great over a dress or with a skirt for a night on the town, and is so versatile.

Thin Mint

Often times I find myself wearing black day after day in the winter. To get myself out of the slump I love to throw in some pastels, like this mint colored J.Crew boyfriend sweater. A J.Crew statement necklace always makes a simple top stand out. As always a bold lipstick (peony pink) is my go to.  Paired with a pair of dark washed jeans and a gray suede wedge bootie to dress up the look!
